跨 越 国 界
To support border-crossers: those who intentionally abandon their accustomed surroundings to constructively engage with the “other” -- dissimilar people and situations -– to build bridges that advance a more harmonious, just, and compassionate world for all living beings. While a major goal is to fund activities that create intercultural and international understanding, we also seek to assist in the travel, education, training, projects, and actions of individuals and organizations engaged in domestic border-crossing activities. When appropriate, the foundation will develop its own programming that aligns with its border-crossing philosophy. We also support those nonprofit educational, civic, and cultural institutions that align with our mission.
Collectively, members of this group have had years of international experience including travel, teaching, and directing student trips to Asia and Europe and serves as the Foundation’s core advisors.
Students wishing to expand their cultural borders by studying and traveling in Asia are urged to check out the programs mentioned below. The leadership of the Coleman Foundation has worked closely with these programs. They are outstanding and highly recommended.
This blog is devoted to comments relating somehow to cultural and international border crossing. Issues, predictions, case studies, critiques, personal thoughts, discussions, quotes, reviews, stories, and insights regarding the joys and frustrations of border crossing are all welcome here.
